What a great week it has been at Outlaw Square!
We started our summer events this week at Outlaw Square and things could not have gone better!
We started out the week with Vast Broadbands Monday Night Movie Night ft. Napoleon Dynamite with guest host and producer of the film, Sean Covel. It was a perfect evening in Deadwood! Sean shared some great behind the scenes stories from the filming of the movie. He also shared some personal stories of growing up in the Black Hills area. After Sean’s introduction we played the film and people really enjoyed it. Sergeant Poppers Kettle Korn and Lemonade also started off their season with us Monday night and it was wonderful having some sweet treats and cool drinks on hand here at the Square in addition to all of the wonderful food and beverage options that are located downtown Deadwood. We had an awesome turnout and things went great! We will show a free, family friendly film each Monday at 7pm going forward this summer thanks to our sponsor Vast Broadband. We would also like to thanks our TV sponsors Jacobs Brewhouse, The Silverado Franklin and The Saloon #10 for providing us with our beautiful screen we use to show our movies on.
Next up we had our Wednesday Night Concert Series Presented by The Deadwood Mountain Grand. This weeks performers were the Tiffany Johnson Band and The Brandon Sprague Blues Band. Tiffany Johnson opened the show with a high energy mix of country and pop music. The band was great and people really enjoyed them. Up next Brandon Sprague and his blues band took the stage and put on an show of rockin’ blues music. A local favorite, Brandon had the crowd dancing the night away here in Deadwood. Don’t forget it is also open container in Deadwood on Wednesday nights for the concert series from 6:30pm – 10:00pm. Hit the shops, grab some dinner or maybe and adult beverage from one of our amazing downtown businesses, and meet us at Outlaw Square for free live music every Wednesday presented by The Deadwood Mountain Grand.
