2:00PM – SHOOTOUT – “A Shooting Affray” – Outlaw Square Stage
2:30PM – “Gold Guns and Grubstake” (the evolution of pre-1899 firearms) – Mustang Sally’s
4:00PM – SHOOTOUT – “Showdown on Gold Street” – Outlaw Square Stage
4:20PM – Hangin’ with the Shootists – Outlaw Square – meet the gunslingers, ask questions and take photos

2022 Spring and Fall Descriptions

Friday-Saturday

12:00PM – Lawman’s Patrol – Tour Deadwood’s Main Street with a Deadwood Lawman. Discover the true
stories of gold, gambling, shootouts, destructive fires and how to hang on to your money and your life.
1:00PM – “Tales and Tails” – Your favorite Deadwood Alive characters delve into rotating topics; “Black Hills
Bravado, Bandits and Boogeymen” – Two Black Hills lawmen tell of their exploits back in the rough and tumble
days of early Deadwood and beyond. All are true but some are hard to believe. “Critter Crate” experience
teeth, claws, fur and footprints of Black Hills creatures. – Mustang Sally’s
2:00PM – A Shooting Affray – After a long night of revelry, two friends get into a disagreement over who gets the
pleasure of paying for the libations. This affray ends with one man shot and the other sent a packin’. If your
drunken friend was spittin’ mad at you, would you let him borrow your gun?
2:30PM – Gold Guns and Grubstake – Deadwood Alive explores the hows and whys of firearm development in
the 1800s. Hear how Henry helped Winchester to reign supreme in the repeater market. The story of Colt’s
Patent Firearms Company from Patterson to Peacemaker. A half Century’s history of Springfield Arsenal, from
muzzle loading muskets to magazine rivals.
4:00PM – Showdown on Gold Street – Two gamblers disagree about the outcome of a poker game and decide
the best way to settle this is to pull their six guns and shoot it out. Things don’t go as either gambler expected,
and the result is a Deadwood legend. Come watch this “shootout at high noon” (well, it’s noon somewhere) and
see who comes out on top.
